Search and Summarize Cards: Search for specific fuel cards using highly flexible criteria (such as status, expiry date, driver name, or vehicle registration number), and retrieve a high-level summary of your cards by their current statuses.
Order cards: Instantly order up to 50 cards, or cancel up to 500 cards in a single API call.
Block and unblock cards: Perform real-time card blocking and unblocking, or schedule blocks.
Enquire card order status: For operations processed asynchronously, you can query the exact status of your card orders (e.g., Pending, In Progress, Processed, or Failed).
Intelligent PIN management: Request electronic PIN reminders.
Card group management: Create new card groups and move up to 500 cards across groups or accounts within your business hierarchy.
Mobile Payment Approvals: Fleet Managers can remotely approve or reject mobile payment registration requests directly via the API.
Real-time push notifications: Receive webhooks to keep your systems synced with the latest card status and order updates.

How the B2B Mobility Card Management API works

By integrating this card management API into your own fleet management system or other software, you enable direct system-to-system communication with the Shell Card Platform.

Using the API, card data can be collected, so you can overview all of your fleets’ fuel cards, organize them into groups, and track their statuses.

Whenever a key event occurs in your system, the API automatically triggers the corresponding action in the background. For example:

When you register a new driver in your system, it automatically triggers an API call to order a new Shell fuel card. You can assign an encrypted, self-selected PIN and specify the delivery address directly to the driver's home.
If a driver loses their card, your system automatically triggers a permanent block and simultaneously orders a replacement card in the background to minimize downtime.
A routine event, such as a driver taking annual leave, can securely schedule a temporary card block for that specific period, and automatically unblock the card the moment they return to work.
If a driver forgets their PIN at the fuel station, they can request help through your internal app. The API instantly generates an electronic PIN reminder sent securely via SMS or email, getting them back on the road in minutes.
